Sunroom Recipes

Ridley, Pennsylvania

Some pretty pauses from an afternoon in Aunt Diane’s home. For some insight, Diane is a current history teacher, former gymnast and a forever creative. I definitely have her to thank for sparking the artist in me growing up. This lady was a DIYer, charcuterie master & innovative queen way before it was trendy. So it only makes sense that when we get together, we get creative.

We hit the farmers market and ended up with honestly way too many lemons. So naturally, something had to be done. Then came lemonade, lemon cookies AND chocolate cupcakes with lemon frosting.

Although most of our time was spent in the kitchen, the highlight is truly the sunroom. We knew we had to set up shop and take full advantage of the amazing light that pours through the space. Truly any photographers dream.

To me, the best part of creating in the kitchen is finishing the job by PLATING. We sifted through the china cabinet for some fun textiles and ceramics… & it was way more fun than I’d like to admit. We pulled together some simple pieces we thought would compliment each dish, added some more texture with garnishes; took some photos and then yes, we finally got to pig out.

I really appreciate getting to create in this space and I know everyone else really enjoyed the snacks! Compliments to the chef :)
