Carey + Sam
Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul - Philadelphia, PA
We started our day getting ready at the Union League in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Carey + Sam shared their first look inside of the most gorgeous library right inside the building. After a short trolley ride a few blocks away, I got to document their marriage ceremony inside of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter + Paul. I’ll be honest, I don’t do church weddings very often- but this place really blew me away. The stained glass, grand ceilings and marble checkered tile… Absolutely breathtaking.
One of my favorite things these two decided to do was have an hour in between their ceremony and cocktail hour. They wanted to be able to mingle with guests after their ceremony, have time to take some more photos, and with that- they didn't have to rush and were actually able to enjoy cocktail hour at their leisure.
We hopped back on the trolly and headed back to the Union League where everyone fueled up on cocktail hour nibbles + drinks. After an intimate room reveal with just the two of them, they opened their reception space to their friends and family. Toasts, dinner + a FULL dance floor later, Carey + Sam went home as husband and wife.

A special thank you to my second photographer + best friend, Treja Nicole, who drove all the way from her base in Connecticut to document this day with me. I’d also like to point out that my sister was the hair stylist and absolutely crushed it per usual. I’m not sure how Nicole Swan and I have both been in the industry for about a decade yet this is the first wedding we’ve done together… but this day was definitely THE day to do it. Excellent work ladies, thank you endlessly!
